BioClad revolutionises the facilities within their local accident and emergency department near their Head Offices in Harrogate with the launch of the company’s innovative new product, the BioPod IPS unit.

BioPod is the latest product innovation in the BioClad family. The world’s first antimicrobial IPS Units are now installed at Harrogate Hospital, providing unprecedented hygienic care to patients across North Yorkshire.

A&E refurbishments require rapid turnaround time. BioClad won the project due to the company’s express turnaround time of two weeks, compared to competitors’ eight-week lead time.

BioClad’s iconic antimicrobial BioArmis wall protection has also been installed as part of the project. Both the BioPod and BioArmis feature bacteria-fighting BioCote, which reduces bacteria by 99.9% in just two hours.

The BioPod is joint-free, making it fully hygienic, and comes pre-plumbed, reducing installation time. It is fully accessible, allowing it to be easily maintained.

The BioPods are installed at Harrogate Hospital as complete units, but BioClad also offers a bespoke BioPod build service. What’s more, BioPod isn’t limited to wash stations; showers, sluice & WC basins are also available.

BioPods can not only be integrated with specified sanitary ware, it can also be installed with the required sanitary ware fully fitted, which further cemented the NHS Trust’s enthusiasm for BioPod.
