Five Guys started out in Arlington, Virginia back in 1986. Five Guys is named simply after five brothers who set up the company after their parent’s advice: “Start a business or go to college”.
Their business model was simple too: Burgers and fries – cooked to perfection – and that’s it. And the five brothers upheld their father’s philosophy: “To perfect and serve.”
Five Guys is now an international restaurant chain and BioClad has been working with the brand to launch fully-hygiene spaces throughout each restaurant venue using BioClad’s antimicrobial wall cladding.
Cross contamination is a concern for any food prep area dealing with raw meats. With the help of BioCote Technology (found in BioClad products) restaurants can ensure they uphold the highest level of hygiene within food preparation areas. The antimicrobial technology works 24/7 to eliminate the threat of harmful bacteria such as E.Coli. In addition to its proven antimicrobial protection, the BioClad antimicrobial cladding is extremely easy to clean.
BioClad is thermoformed around corners by approved installers on site, giving a seamless uniformed detail that provides a strong, easy-clean, watertight finish. This appealed to Five Guys by allowing staff more time to focus on food preparation thus reducing customer waiting times.
