Project Detail:

With the client looking to achieve a fully hygienic, long-lasting finish it was only natural to incorporate BioClad’s full suite of products throughout the facility. Working with the client, it was evident that time was an important factor in the project planning process. The 15 working day turn-around of BioClad’s BioPod unit appealed to the client alongside the bespoke design of the unit which can be manufactured to fit any specification.

As a one-piece construction, the BioPod unit was an ideal choice to be installed within the 61 en-suites due to the elimination of dirt and dust traps through horizontal joints. The antimicrobial lining of the units was also paramount in order to uphold the highest standard of hygiene levels throughout this clinical facility.

Wall Protection in GoodMayes

There were an additional 16 BioPods installed in other clinical areas of the hospital and 5 Slop hopper IPS units within the Dirty Utility rooms.

In order to provide a fully water-tight, easy-clean and hygienic surface, BioClad Antimicrobial Wall Cladding was installed within the 61 en-suite bathrooms.

In addition, 583m² of BioClad Antimicrobial Hygienic Cladding was installed to Kitchen, DDA, Pharmacy, Hoist & Dirty Utility rooms to further enhance hygienic standards through-out the facility.

For areas that require a higher level of protection 432m² of BioArmis wall protection was installed alongside handrails such as the hospital corridors. The textured surface of the BioArmis sheet is easily cleanable and scratch-resistant helping to maintain the appearance of environments prone to bumps from heavy hospital equipment.

To provide further protection, 150 heavy-duty corner guards were installed throughout the facility, helping to sustain the longevity of BioClad’s antimicrobial hygienic wall cladding.
