Project Detail
This project was a major ward refurbishment for a prominent NHS Trust in North West England. This is another project where the client utilised BioClad’s full product offering.
BioClad worked very closely with the client to see the project through from concept to completion and assisted in writing the NBS specification based on its IPS ranges including Armitage Shanks HBN 10 compliant new Contour 21+ sanitaryware ranges.
In addition, BioClad prepared a full set of production drawings and assisted on-site with the dimensions and final approval. To help manage expectations of all parties involved, prior to install BioClad agreed lead times to suit the works programme, the client was particularly impressed with BioClad’s 15 working day production time.
This NHS project consisted of 33 BioClad IPS products to the wards, WC’s and clinical areas, which included full wall IPS, Recessed units, Corner and Freestanding BioPods.
Shower areas were cladded with BioClad Antimicrobial Wall Cladding providing a water-tight, easy-clean finish. BioArmis was also utilised to provide an element of wall protection.
The client chose a selection of colours from the BioClad range to add vibrancy to the existing colour scheme in the ward areas, Vivid Orange, Vivid Pink, and Royal Blue were selected from the Vivid range. The clinical areas were selected in a more subtle Cloud colours from our pastels range.
The client selected BioClad IPS as the product of choice due to its antimicrobial properties. Additionally, the client was impressed with the easy clean properties of the products alongside the sleek and streamlined design.
Bioclad have helped us enormously in delivering some of the largest hygienic cladding contracts in the UK on time and on budget.
